Pattern From Heaven
Before the stars had found their flame,
Before the worlds were spun,
A Son went forth in sovereign name,
A Spirit chose to come.
She stood beside his universe,
Before its dawn began,
The mother-heart of living light,
The wisdom near his hand.
He spoke the will, she breathed the grace,
He held the throne, she filled the place,
And no new life would rise alone—
Both heart and hand, both flame and home.
Father of worlds, Mother of light,
One in the labor, one in the fight,
Love is the law where creation begins,
Two hearts are weaving the children within.
Not power alone, not glory apart,
But counsel and mercy, one mind and one heart,
In heaven's own family, creation can sing:
Love crowns the servant, and loyalty kings.
When rebellion scarred the fields of time,
And shadows claimed the day,
The Son stood forth to guard the line,
To drive the dark away.
But never was he left alone,
Through sorrow, loss, and flame;
The Mother Spirit held the home
And whispered every name.
He came to rescue, she remained
With wounded worlds and souls in pain;
He faced the storm, she kept the breath
Of hope alive in lands of death.
Father of worlds, Mother of light,
One in the labor, one in the fight,
Love is the law where creation begins,
Two hearts are weaving the children within.
Not power alone, not glory apart,
But counsel and mercy, one mind and one heart,
In heaven's own family, creation can sing:
Love crowns the servant, and loyalty kings.
Then came the hour when bestowals were done,
The road had been walked by the conquering Son;
Before all the hosts, in the triumph of peace,
The Spirit bowed freely, and power found release.
At the jubilee of jubilees,
She pledged her trust for all to see,
And Michael rose in majesty—
Not to diminish, but to decree:
Equal in beauty, equal in worth,
Pattern of heaven, pattern for earth,
No love compelled, no honor seized,
But two made one in sovereignties.
Father of worlds, Mother of light,
One in the mercy, one in the might,
Love is the law where creation begins,
Two hearts are raising the children within.
Not rule without tenderness, not tenderness blind,
But strength with compassion, one purpose, one mind;
In heaven's own family, creation can see
The Proclamation of Equality.
He leads, she sustains,
He gives, she remains,
Together they govern the stars and the soul—
A family of glory, made faithful and whole.
